What is a Respite Video?

Remembering Our Youth is entertainment designed especially for memory-care patients.  Studies have shown that the earliest memories are those that remain the longest for memory-care patients.  Therefore, we have designed this video to call upon those early happy memories of childhood  that can bring comfort to those who find the present overwhelming or confusing. 

Remembering  Our Youth is also useful during those difficult “sundowning” hours when memory care patients

are often restless.  As an added benefit, this respite video provides the caregiver an opportunity to rest or take care of other tasks while their loved one is relaxing.

This video helps my mother relax while I prepare dinner.
